Ok so this is going to sound really terrible but have you ever received a home made gift at Christmas only to find yourself thinking Oh dear God what am I going to do with it?

Be honest you know you have and the worst part is that because it came from their hearts and was specially made for you it is much harder to toss in the trash or re-gift at a later time, or was it a well thought out special gift?

I wonder because I think I have some inexpensive home made Christmas Gift ideas that I think people would actually like to have such as a hand made throw in colors that didn't go out of style in the 1970's. I appreciate a home made picture but at least frame it to match the home and style of the recipient. Being inexpensive doesn't mean being thoughtless because the receiver of such a gift is going to have to keep it because it is a home made gift!

In the summer time a great theme would be to use a picnic basket with wine, cheese and a cute little picnic dish set. I would love to receive something like that and I am pretty sure most people would appreciate the thoughtfulness.

Men will always say that shopping for them is easy but that is a myth and if you go to snopes.com I am pretty sure they will back me up.

Most guys will go out and buy what they really want for themselves before any holiday and leave their families hanging out there with the left over gift ideas such as ties, socks, underwear and after shave. Ho-hum boring!

Guys please stop buying everything on your wish list before you give us the chance! I love Easter! Mainly because I get to put together cute little baskets for everybody on my list! It does not have to cost you a ton of money to let the people you love know that you are thinking of them. My mom loves to work in her garden in the spring so I will put her basket together with gardening tools, packets of flower seeds and other inexpensive cute and fun things for her yard then I will add in some lotions and body products so she can pamper herself after spending time in her garden to soak away any aches or pains!
